Welcome to Quetree.com. Quetree.com is an internet site and application for question and answers and is owned and operated by Quetree Inc (“Quetree”, “us”, “we”, “our”), a Delaware corporation. Quetree’s mission is to grow the world’s knowledge together and make it more accessible and acceptable to everyone. All the services (“services”) offered by us are offered with the condition that you agree to all the terms and condition outlined in this document (“Terms”).

Use of services

Quetree is designed and implemented for those who sincerely seek and share knowledge. It is targeted towards a more mature and sober audience, but you can be as young as 13 years to legally use the site. You may browse the site freely except those that require an account. To participate fully you need to sign up for a membership account (“account”).

User account

You agree to open only a single account and not impersonate anyone. You agree to provide accurate and current information, such as your email, during the sign-up process. You agree to keep your account secure and private. You are responsible for all actions taken with your account and anything that happens related to your account. Each of you and Quetree reserves the right to terminate your account at any time with or without prior notice. Your account is automatically subject to termination upon violation of these Terms.

Quetree allows you to be anonymous. We want to create a safe space for enriching interactions where everyone can be their own authentic self and are free from any preconceived biases. Before making any content contribution to Quetree that others will view, you must agree to always abide by the rules in the Honor Code of Conduct policy. Failure to comply with the Honor Code of Conduct at any time will subject your account to immediate suspension and/or termination.

Usage rules

You agree to use our services only for personal use that does not break the law or infringe upon any person or entity’s intellectual policy. You agree to use our services for creative and constructive purposes only and be nice and respectful to other members. You agree not to harass, bully or attack anyone through services. You agree not to spread hatred, anger or fear through our services. You agree not to use abusive or offensive language or profanity. You agree to use only plain standard English language unless other languages are supported and offered officially in our services. You agree not to be deceptive or knowingly untrue. You agree not to introduce, execute or spread any SPAM or any malicious software to or through our computer systems. You agree not to attempt to manipulate any of the voting system or directly or indirectly misuse Quetree in any way. You agree not to be an internet troll in any and all of our services.

Your content

Quetree allows you to post text, images and videos through your account that are all collectively called your content. You are responsible for all content that is uploaded through your account. You represent, warrant and agree that you will not contribute any content that (a) infringes, violates or otherwise interferes with any copyright or trademark of another party, (b) infringes upon any intellectual property right of another or the privacy or publicity rights of another, (c) reveals any trade secret, unless you own the trade secret or have the owner’s permission, (d) is abusive, defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, hateful, offensive, racist, sexist or otherwise violates any law or right of any third party, (e) contains any malicious code or virus, trojan horse, worm, time bomb or other mechanism that is intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, or harm any system, data or information.

Once you submit a question or answer as content, or a context for a question, you will be able to edit and delete them so long as no one has added any questions or answers against your original content. Once there is additional content connected to your content you will not be able to edit or delete your content as long as those additional content exist. Your content is yours, and you retain ownership and copyright laws of your content subject to the non-exclusive rights you agree to grant Quetree. You agree that your content is perpetually and irrevocably licensed to Quetree under the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike license. You grant Quetree the perpetual and irrevocable right and license to use, copy, cache, publish, display, distribute, modify, create derivative works and store your content, even if your user account is no long active.

Our content

All other content that is available in Quetree excluding your own content is collectively called our content. You are granted permission to use our content outside our services but related to our services under the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike license where you agree to attribute the source of such content by providing a link back to Quetree.com that takes the viewer directly to the section in Quetree.com where that content is presented.

You are not allowed to scrape or crawl Quetree.com’s content with automated software also called robots, unless you are a reputable internet Search Engine and you a) follow robots.txt at all times, b) use a descriptive user agent header that also provides a means to contact you either directly or through a website and c) does not overburden our servers to be able to provide speedy service to our other members.

Copyright policy and violations

You are responsible for all content that you provide and to ensure that such content does not violate the copyright policy of a third party. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act you will respond expeditiously to any claims to copyright infringement made to us. If you believe any of our content infringes a copyright please report it immediately to copyright@quetree.com containing the following information:

  • Identification of the work or material being infringed.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing in a way that it can be easily found by Quetree.
  • Your contact information including name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.
  • A formal statement of your good faith belief that the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or law.
  • A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information provided in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to make the complaint on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • Your signature (may be digital).

After receiving a report we will take down the disputed content from our services and immediately notify the member responsible for such content. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to suspend or terminate the account of the person responsible.

If you believe that you have been served a wrongful copyright takedown notice you may file a counter notification with us at copyright@quetree.com containing the following information:

  • Identification of the work or material being infringed from our violation notice.
  • Your contact information including name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.
  • A formal statement of your good faith belief that the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or law.
  • A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information provided in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to make the complaint on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • Your signature (may be digital).

On receiving a counterclaim we will forward it to the party who submitted the original copyright infringement claim. If no further actions are taken by the party who made the original claim within 2 weeks then Quetree reserves the right to reinstate the content and remove any blame placed on the responsible party.


All the things you do and all the information you submit or post to Quetree remain your responsibility. You agree not to hold us legally liable for any of your user content or actions that infringe the law or the rights of a third party or person in any way. You agree to hold us harmless from and defend us against any claims, costs, damages, losses, expenses, and any other liabilities, including attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of or related to your access to or use of Quetree, your violation of these Terms, and/or your violation of the rights of any third party or person.

Warranty Disclaimer

Quetree services are provided "as is" and without warranty of any kind. To the full extent allowed by law we disclaim any and all warranties, express or implied, including (but not limited to) implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement of proprietary rights, or any other warranty, condition, guarantee or representation, whether oral or electronic. You agree not to hold us responsible or liable for any damage to your computer or mobile device, loss of use, or loss of your user content, or any harm or loss resulting from the use of our services or from the failure to be able to use our services. We do not guarantee that Quetree will always work appropriately or as expected.

Limitation of liability

In no event shall we, our directors, officers, shareholders, employees, members, agents, consultants, contractors, partners, vendors and service providers (including, without limitation, hosting and telecommunications providers) be liable with respect to our services for (a) any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages of any kind whatsoever; (b) damages for loss of use, profits, data, images, content or other intangibles; (c) damages for unauthorized use, non-performance of our service including errors or omissions; or (d) damages related to downloading or posting our content. This limitation on liability shall not be affected even if we have been previously advised of the possibility of such damages. Some states and jurisdictions do not allow for the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, in which case the above exclusions may not apply to you.


The laws of the State of Delaware without respect to its choice of law provisions, will govern these Terms and any dispute that arises between Quetree and you. You agree that if you have any issue or would like to dispute anything, you will try to resolve it with us informally first by contacting us through our contact page. All disputes related to these Terms will be brought solely in the federal or state courts located in Houston, Harris County, Texas.

In the event any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and ensure that the remaining provisions of these Terms remain in full force and effect and enforceable. If we fail to enforce any right or provision in these Terms, it will not be deemed a waiver of such or all other rights and provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to change the structure or content of these Terms at any time and without prior notice. We will make adequate effort to let you know of such change and keep this document always updated to reflect any change. By continuing to use our services you agree to these changes.
